SparkVault Network Inspector Privacy Policy
Last updated: Nov 13, 2025 • Extension: SparkVault Suite
Privacy Policy
SparkVault Network Inspector is designed for privacy-first network monitoring. It allows you to search, view, and analyze your browser’s network traffic locally — without transmitting data to any external servers. All processing happens directly on your device.
What data we do not collect
- We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, emails, or phone numbers.
- We do not collect your browsing history, page content, or credentials.
- We do not transmit network logs, request data, or analytics to any remote server.
- We do not track your usage behavior or share any data with third parties.
Local-only operation
All monitoring, analysis, and exports happen locally within your browser. Request data, filters, and settings are stored only in your browser’s local storage and remain on your device. You control all data retention, and nothing leaves your system unless you choose to export logs manually.
Permissions
SparkVault Network Inspector requires minimal permissions to function effectively:
- webRequest — to view and analyze live network requests your browser makes.
- <all_urls> — to allow inspection across all websites, as required for complete network visibility.
- storage — to save your local settings, filters, and logs on your device.
These permissions are used strictly for functionality and are never abused or used to collect personal information.
Data visibility and control
You have full control over what data is viewed, stored, or deleted. Network logs can be cleared at any time from the extension interface. Exporting data to JSON or CSV is entirely optional and remains within your control. Deleting the extension automatically removes all locally stored data.
Third-party services
SparkVault Network Inspector does not use external analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services. If any future feature relies on a third-party service (for example, optional cloud sync), it will be clearly documented and fully optional, with explicit user consent required before activation.
Future cloud features
Future updates may include optional cloud backup or sync features to support multi-device use. Any such feature will require you to create an account and explicitly agree to the terms. Only the data required for synchronization will be stored securely, and all transfers will be encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Security
We follow strict security standards. All data processing occurs within Chrome’s secure extension environment. If cloud-based features are introduced, they will use encrypted connections and proper authentication to ensure data confidentiality and integrity.
Children’s privacy
SparkVault Network Inspector is not designed for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately upon notice.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as new features are introduced. All updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Users will be informed within the extension when major changes occur.
