Privacy Policy

SparkVault Bookmarks Manager is designed with privacy-first principles. It allows you to create, organize, and manage your bookmarks entirely locally — without transmitting your data to any external servers. All processing and storage occur directly in your browser.

What data we do not collect

• We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, emails, or phone numbers.
• We do not collect the contents of your bookmarks, browsing history, or credentials.
• We do not transmit your bookmark data, folder structure, or usage patterns to any remote server.
• We do not track your activity or share any data with third parties.

Local-only operation

All bookmarks, folders, and settings are stored locally in your browser. You control all data retention and organization, and nothing leaves your system unless you choose to export bookmarks manually.

Permissions

SparkVault Bookmarks Manager requires minimal permissions to operate effectively:

• bookmarks — to read, create, edit, and manage your bookmarks and folders.
• storage — to save your local settings, themes, and preferences.

These permissions are used strictly for functionality and never for collecting personal information.

Data visibility and control

You have full control over your bookmarks and settings. Bookmarks can be added, edited, deleted, or exported at any time. Removing the extension automatically deletes all locally stored data.

Third-party services

SparkVault Bookmarks Manager does not use external analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services. Any future feature that relies on a third-party service (e.g., optional cloud backup) will be clearly documented, optional, and require explicit user consent before activation.

Future cloud features

Future updates may include optional cloud backup or sync features for multi-device use. Such features will require account creation and explicit agreement to terms. Only necessary bookmark data will be stored securely, and all transfers will be encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

Security

All data processing occurs within Chrome’s secure extension environment. Any optional cloud features will use encrypted connections and proper authentication to maintain confidentiality and integrity.

Children’s privacy

SparkVault Bookmarks Manager is not designed for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately upon notice.

Policy changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as new features are introduced. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Users will be informed in the extension when major changes occur.
