SparkVault Webpage Element Blocker Privacy Policy
Last updated: Nov 20, 2025 • Extension: SparkVault Suite
Privacy Policy
SparkVault Webpage Element Blocker is built with a strict privacy-first philosophy. All blocked elements, site-specific rules, selectors, preferences, timestamps, and settings are stored locally on your device only. The extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information, browsing activity, or website content. Your entire blocking configuration stays on your machine at all times.
What data we do not collect
- We do not collect personal information such as names, emails, phone numbers, or accounts.
- We do not collect your browsing history, visited pages, search queries, or website content.
- We do not collect or upload your blocked elements, site rules, selectors, timestamps, or preferences.
- We do not use analytics, tracking scripts, advertising IDs, cookies, or share data with any third parties.
Local-only operation
All functionality—including element selection, previews, rule storage, history tracking, and theme preferences— operates entirely within your browser. No data leaves your device unless you manually choose to export it. Your browsing customizations remain private, self-contained, and fully under your control.
Permissions
SparkVault Webpage Element Blocker uses the following permissions solely to deliver its blocking functionality:
- activeTab / scripting — Required to temporarily highlight, preview, hide, or unhide elements you choose on the page.
- storage — Saves your per-site blocked elements, rules, and preferences locally.
- host permissions (optional depending on version) — Allow the extension to apply your saved rules automatically on websites you’ve chosen to customize.
These permissions are never used to collect personal data, monitor browsing habits, or communicate with external servers.
Data visibility and control
You have complete control over your stored data. You may edit, restore, or delete blocked elements at any time. You can clear all saved rules instantly from within the extension. Import and export actions are manual and optional, allowing you to back up or transfer your site configurations as needed. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data automatically.
Optional future cloud features
Future versions may introduce optional cloud sync or backup features for multi-device continuity. These features would always require explicit consent, a user-initiated setup process, and secure encrypted transfers. No cloud service will ever activate without your permission.
Security
All data is processed inside your browser's protected environment. If optional cloud features are introduced in the future, they will rely on hardened encryption, secure authentication, and modern best-practice security protocols to safeguard your information.
Children’s privacy
SparkVault Webpage Element Blocker is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect or request information from children. If any such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated as the extension evolves. All updates will be posted on this page along with a revised “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be communicated within the extension.
