SparkVault Event Tracker Privacy Policy
Last updated: Nov 22, 2025 • Extension: SparkVault Suite
Privacy Policy
SparkVault Event Tracker is built with a strict privacy-first philosophy. All events, event groups, countdown data, icons, descriptions, recurrence schedules, timestamps, and settings are stored locally on your device only. The extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information or browsing activity. Your entire event library stays on your machine at all times.
What data we do not collect
- We do not collect personal information such as names, emails, phone numbers, or accounts.
- We do not collect your browsing history, visited pages, or content from websites you access.
- We do not collect or upload your events, event groups, countdowns, recurrence settings, or themes.
- We do not use analytics, tracking scripts, advertising identifiers, or share data with any third parties.
Local-only operation
All functionality—including event creation, countdown calculations, event grouping, recurring reminders, icon selection, layout ordering, and theme preferences—operates entirely within your browser. No data leaves your device unless you manually export it. Your event workspace remains private, self-contained, and fully under your control.
Permissions
SparkVault Event Tracker uses the following permissions solely to deliver its event-management features:
- storage — Used to save your events, countdowns, groups, notification settings, and arrival history directly on your device. No event data is ever uploaded, synced, or transmitted to any server.
- tabs — Used only so the extension can open its own event-alert page and refresh scheduled alarms when the browser becomes active. SparkVault does not read, track, monitor, or store any information about the websites you visit.
- alarms — Required to schedule countdown timers, recurring events, and event arrival triggers. All alarm processing happens locally inside your browser without transmitting any information externally.
- notifications — Enables optional event-arrival alerts, sounds, and visual notifications. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and never involve external servers or third-party services.
These permissions are never used to collect personal data, monitor browsing behavior, or communicate with external servers.
Data visibility and control
You have complete control over your stored event data. You may edit, reorder, or delete events and event groups at any time. You may reset your entire event library instantly. Import/export actions are manual, allowing you to back up or move your events as needed. Uninstalling the extension removes all event data automatically.
Optional future cloud features
Future versions may introduce optional cloud sync or backup features for multi-device accessibility. These would always require explicit user consent, manual setup, and secure encrypted transmission. No cloud system will ever activate automatically or without your permission.
Security
All data is processed inside your browser’s secure environment. If optional cloud features are introduced in the future, they will use hardened encryption, secure authentication, and modern security practices to ensure your data remains protected.
Children’s privacy
SparkVault Event Tracker is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or store information from children. If any such data is accidentally discovered, it will be removed immediately.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated as the extension evolves. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Major changes will be communicated within the extension interface.
