Privacy Policy
SparkVault Web Resource Analytics is designed with a strict privacy-first, local-only architecture. The extension analyzes resources loaded by websites you visit, including media files, scripts, stylesheets, documents, and inline content, in order to present a structured overview of webpage composition. All analysis is performed locally within your browser. No collected data is transmitted externally.
What data we do not collect
- We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or user identifiers.
- We do not collect browsing history beyond currently open tabs being analyzed.
- We do not record keystrokes, form inputs, authentication data, or credentials.
- We do not track user behavior, activity patterns, or interactions across websites.
- We do not transmit webpage content, resource data, or analysis results to any external server.
- We do not use analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking technologies.
Local-only processing
All resource detection, classification, previews, and metadata analysis occur entirely within the browser using local execution. Resource data is stored temporarily or persistently in local extension storage only to support live dashboards, filtering, previews, and export functionality. No data leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
Permissions
SparkVault Web Resource Analytics requests the following permissions, each used solely to enable its documented functionality:
- tabs — required to detect active browser tabs, monitor navigation changes, and associate collected resources with their corresponding pages.
- scripting — required to inject a local, isolated analysis script into webpages to detect resources present in the DOM and performance APIs. Injected scripts do not modify page behavior or transmit data.
- storage — required to store analyzed resource metadata locally so results can be displayed, filtered, and exported within the extension interface.
- unlimitedStorage — required to safely store larger sets of resource metadata and inline content without risking storage quota exhaustion during analysis.
- Host permissions (http://*/*, https://*/*) — required to analyze resources on any website you choose to visit. Access is limited to resource inspection only and does not include credential capture or background monitoring.
These permissions are used exclusively to support resource analysis and visualization. They are never used for tracking, profiling, or data extraction beyond visible webpage resources.
Data visibility and control
You have full visibility into all data displayed by SparkVault Web Resource Analytics. Resource listings, metadata, previews, and exports are generated transparently. You may clear stored data at any time or uninstall the extension, which immediately removes all locally stored information.
Third-party services
SparkVault Web Resource Analytics does not integrate with third-party services, cloud platforms, analytics providers, or advertising networks. The extension operates entirely offline.
Remote code
This extension does not load or execute remote JavaScript, WebAssembly, or external code. All logic is bundled directly within the extension package.
Security
The extension operates within Chrome’s extension sandbox and follows best practices to minimize permissions, isolate injected scripts, and reduce attack surface.
Children’s privacy
SparkVault Web Resource Analytics is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. The extension does not knowingly collect information from children.
Policy changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the extension’s functionality or permissions change. Any updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
